Let's start with Black and White

What are your first thoughts, emotions or things that come to your mind when you hear "color" BLACK? Mine were elegance, danger, seductiveness, black widow, funeral and jaguar.
How about WHITE? In my case it was wedding, snow, pearls, innocence and safety. There is so much contrast and opposite meaning and symbolism in these two words; almost like water and fire; and still it is one of the best "color" combinations there is. Notice parenthesis upon world color referring to black and white. Are Black and White really colors? This is one of the most debated issues about color. Some say white is the absence of colors where black is the total of all colors, other say, in theory of color in a light, that black is the absence of color since it doesn't reflect light and white is the blending of all colors since it reflects all colors? In my color palette they are both colors, both timeless and classic, never go out of style, both very powerful in their own particular way. Let's have a look how they can dominate in different interior designs:)

I'm loving the flow in this space. My eyes are drawn immediately to the stairs with an amazing contemporary railing but I'm in awe how beautifully color black was incorporated all over the rooms with black (well, semi-black) flooring, window and door frames and the amazing ceiling beams

White is often used to create coolness and simplicity where black adds some drama and possess. You can notice it in this room. Great conversational area with, "floating"stairs

White always looks great in rooms with a lot of architectural details and with combination of warm wood colors

Interesting black and white stripe pattern, made of tiles, makes the bathroom look wider and bigger

The punch of yellow in this room is like drop of heaven for me and makes this room just delicious. Notice layering of two area rugs:)

What catches my eye are these two very attractive lamps, looking like pieces of art themselves; but let's not forget about rug and pillows giving just right amount of interest to the space with pattern

Ceiling, ceiling and one more time ceiling! with PH Artichoke pendant light from Louis Poulsen designed by Poul Henningsen. Beware of price for this "diamond";)

And this is just it! Bright, luminous, comfortable and cozy and still very modern. And who said contemporary style is cold?! I love these Nuevo Aria bar stools in White:)

Simplicity is sometimes the best!

continuing on simplicity

Modern and chic. Check out this table! not mentioning the chandelier and eye-catching wallpaper in the background

I like black lacquer cabinets in this kitchen but it feels like this space is lacking on some lighting. These cabinets could be great to reflect the light and illuminate this whole room if more light would have been incorporated

I definitely feel this room but personally I would add some interesting black and white artwork on the walls

Example of relaxing Scandinavian decor in white:) If you like PS Maskros pendant light click here  ;)

Impera Modern-Contemporary lacquer platform bad for sure makes a statement in this room surrounded with black walls and flooring

Black and white zebra coffee table catches everyone attention in this earth tones surrounding. Zebra pattern just will do it to any room:)
